How big should a dining rug be? Pull the chairs out and see

Is your dining rug big enough? A good rug lets the chairs slide in and out without catching its edge, and the usual rule is that it reaches at least 60 cm past the table on every side.

Enter your table size, set how far you pull your chair back, then resize and drag the rug in a top-down plan. Chairs turn terracotta when they leave the rug. You get the rule of thumb, when to break it, and what to measure before you buy.
