How far should a coffee table sit from your sofa? Slide it and see
A coffee table that sits in the wrong place gets bumped, avoided or left empty. Most guides suggest a 35–45 cm gap from the sofa, a height level with or just under the seat, and a length of about half to two-thirds of the sofa.
Drag the sliders to plan your own sofa and table, see how the gap feels, and learn when it is fine to break the rule.
