How do you zone a one-room home? Drag the furniture and see

In a studio or one-room rental, the bed, sofa and desk all share one floor, so nothing feels like it has its own place. The fix is zoning: give each job a small patch with the space it needs, and keep a calm walking route between them.

Drag a bed, wardrobe, sofa and desk around a plan of your own room size and see where space gets squeezed. You can often do it with a rug, a shelf or a lamp, without buying more.
