How big should a bedroom rug be? Slide it under the bed and see

A bedroom rug is there for your first step out of bed, so the question is how much of it still shows once the bed sits on top. Pick your bed, set the rug size and your room's measurements, then drag the rug up or down to see how many centimetres show at each side and at the foot.

You get the 50–60 cm rule of thumb, the cheaper two-thirds placement, when to break the rule, and what to measure before you buy.
